Rosette is a Japanese drugstore skin care brand. I have previously tried their facial cleanser (long long time ago) and I remember it was nothing too surprising. Until recently I bought a different product from this brand – Rosette Gommage Peeling Gel and I can say that this product definitely works better than their cleanser.
Rosette Gommage Peeling Gel is like a gentle exfoliation, it works similarly to an enzyme peel, but less irritation on the skin. Not only it can be used on the face, you can also use it to “exfoliate” your elbows, knees and heels!
As per product information: it contains – “Fruit acid works to get rid of the dullness and leaves you with silky, rejuvenated skin. Makeup goes on better!”
■ Fruit acid effective in removing dead skin cells and other grime that is holding back your skin’s natural beauty from shining through!
This peeling gel removes rough, dead skin resulting in a soft, silky complexion. You will find that makeup goes on completely different after use! Soft, non-damaging peeling gel.
■ Slight floral fruity scent
Infused with a slight floral fruity scent for added refreshment!
• This AHA-containing gel can gently clear old keratin.
• Restore dull complexion to radiance and leave skin smooth and shiny.
• It also helps absorb subsequently applied skin care products.
HOW TO USE:
□ Use 2-3 times a week depending on the condition of your skin.
□ Wash your face and wipe thoroughly. Use on dry skin. Take an appropriate amount (about the size of a large grape) in the palm of your hand and gently massage your entire face making sure to keep your eyes closed. While you are massaging you will find that residue resembling eraser peelings have started to accumulate on the surface of the skin. Massage your skin for 1 minute and rinse thoroughly. (Continue with your usual skincare routine.)
□ Make sure that the skin on your elbows, knees, and heels are dry when using the product on these areas.
Ingredient list: Water (Purified Water), Ethanol, Glycerin, Steartrimonium Chloride, Carbomer, Allantoin, Lactic Acid, Glucose, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Green Tea Extract, Methylparaben, Fragrances
Rosette Gommage Peeling Gel Review
Packaging: Love the tube packaging. Hygienic and easy to use.
Scent & Texture: The product is a soft translucent gel. It has almost no scent, just the tinniest floral scent to it which I love.
This product aims to reduce and eventually removes your white and black heads, any dead skin cells or old cuticles. I have to admit that every time after I use this product, my skin feels SUPER smooth and soft. While it did not removes all my blackhead for me (they are pretty serious trust me), but it does reduces it a little ever since I started using this gel. The best part is, it does not dries up my skin.
In general when I use the normal mirco scrub to exfoliate my skin, my skin will feel a bit tight at the end. But using this gel does the same thing and it doesn’t dries up my skin, in fact my skin feels moisturized.
I normally do this before I putting on any heavy makeup, and yes my makeup goes on so smoothly, say goodbye to cakey foundation guys.
Price: Price is considered low and affordable at AUD$12.
Will I purchase this again? YES, I will definitely stock up when I visit Japan again (because it’s much cheaper there)!
Rosette Gommage Peeling Gel: Final Thoughts
I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has sensitive skin but looking for an alternatives to the usual micro-scrub exfoliate/enzyme peel. This product is super affordable and I’m pretty sure you can get this easily online. I have listed some online store where you can purchase the product down below.
