Secret to Glowing Skin: Green Tea Detoxifying Face Wash Water

Green Tea is most beauty expert or celebrities’ secret to glowing skin. Everyone knows how great Green tea is. It’s great when you consume it as a drink, but do you know it can be used externally (for your skin) as well? I learnt this trick from Pony Beauty Diary and we all know she has really good skin (Pony is a korean makeup artist/youtuber).

Green tea is rich in antioxidant and using this DIY/trick once a week is enough to keep your skin away from wrinkles and fine lines. Rinse this Green tea face wash follow by a DIY Aloe Vera Soothing Mask to soothe irritated skin. This method directly helps your skin absorb the antioxidants and other good stuffs in the Green Tea. Alternatively (the best method), if you have a steamer at home, you can also use this to steam away dirty pores, detoxify your skin and keep it hydrated.

Recipe for the Secret to Glowing Skin

What you need:

2 Natural/Pure Green Tea Bag

A Big bowl of hot water (boiled and filtered)

2 – 5 drops of Essential oils of your choice (I use Jurlique Balancing Face Oil)

How to make:

Let the tea brewed for at least 5 mins in a clean big bowl. Wait for the tea to cool down until it’s warm enough for your face and skin to handle. Add a few drops of essential oil of your choice (I use Jurlique Balancing Face Oil). Stir the mixture with your clean hand or a clean spatula.

After your normal cleansing, rinse your face with this Green Tea water for about 1-2 minutes. Then pat dry with a clean towel. And you’re done!

I do this once or twice a week to give my skin a bit of detox and extra boost of antioxidant. Be patience and consistence with this easy beauty trick and you will be amazed by your glowing skin after!
