Hong Kong Day 3: One Day in Hong Kong Disneyland!

June 1, 2018

This is Hong Kong Travel Itinerary Day 3 for my Hong Kong Trip in 2017.

Hong Kong DAY 3: One Day in Hong Kong Disneyland

On Day 3, we went to one of the most magical and happiest places on earth – Hong Kong Disneyland! Hong Kong Disneyland was the most enjoyable day we had for our whole Hong Kong trip. I went to Hong Kong Disneyland 4 years ago and I came back 4 years later, they added Tomorrowland and Mystic Manor to the theme park.

How much does it cost?

So if you go to Hong Kong Disneyland Website here, you can see all sort of information you need, including ticket prices, show time, dining, any special event going on and so forth.

So there’s an ONE DAY PACKAGE and TWO DAY PACKAGE (Note: these costs were taken on May 2018, it may subject to change).

Adult: 1 Day Package – HKD619 / 2 Day Package – HKD689

Children (3-11 years): 1 Day Package – HDK 458 / 2 Day Package – HKD 508

The 2 days package is cheaper than the 1-day package. If you have enough time to spare in Hong Kong, definitely try the 2-day package, highly recommend it for families with children.

You can buy the ticket online on their website, on your travel agency or at your hotel reception.

How to Get there?

  1. Take the MTR to Hong Kong Disneyland, they do have a special route and Disney Train if you want to experience that. It is also the cheapest way to get there. But it takes longer (at least one hour, depends on where you are) to reach Hong Kong Disneyland.
  2. Check with your hotel reception, some hotels provide free shuttle rides to Hong Kong Disneyland, or some provide a paid ride.
  3. Take the taxi. That’s what we did because we wanted to save time. It is the fastest way to get to Hong Kong Disneyland (less than 30 mins). But it’s expensive, about HKD250 from Tsim Sha Tsui.

BRUNCH
PLAZA INN, MAIN STREET USA
HONG KONG DISNEYLAND

This restaurant theme is inspired by Disneyland movie MULAN. The restaurant serves Cantonese cuisine and dim sum. We were hungry and craving for some Cantonese food so we chose this restaurant.

Honestly, I find theme park restaurants are most likely, NOT GOOD and they are so freaking expensive. After trying this restaurant, I don’t recommend it.

I can’t remember how much it cost, but it’s really expensive and the food wasn’t even good.

TOMORROWLAND

While most rides are, you know for kids. I did enjoy the Iron Man ride and the Star War Mountain Space Ride was really cool. They are the must try!

FANTASYLAND

Fantasyland is the most crowded park in Hong Kong Disneyland. It’s very beautiful and has a food court. My must-try would be the MAD HATTER TEA CUPS, “its a small world”, MICKEY’S PHILHARMAGIC, DUMBO THE FLYING ELEPHANT AND HONG KONG DISNEY RAILROAD (if you have time).

FAIRYTALE FOREST PRESENTED BY PANDORA

GRIZZLY GULCH

THIS IS A MUST MUST TRY!!

The only rides they have in this theme is Big Grizzly Mountain Runway Mine Cars. This is the best ride in the whole HONG KONG DISNEYLAND. The queue is crazy and I can’t believe we queued for 2-3 times for this ride because it’s so freaking good. MUST MUST TRY in HONG KONG DISNEYLAND!

MYSTIC MANSON

This is a new theme in HONG KONG DISNEYLAND. It’s not a crazy ride but the effect of the ride is really cool. And the QUEUE is very long too so yeah.

NOTE: We visited the whole theme park but didn’t get to take photos of a certain park, so please do watch my VLOG to see more visuals of HONG KONG DISNEYLAND.

So we left at 7.30pm, right before the fireworks. You can definitely stay for the fireworks of course. But we are not a “firework” person and we didn’t want to squeeze with the leaving crowd after the fireworks.

So we took the taxi back to Yau Ma Tei for our dinner.

DINNER 1
AUSTRALIAN MILK COMPANY, Jordon
47 Parkes St, Jordan, Hong Kong

DINNER 2
Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop, Jordon
51 Parkes St, Jordan, Hong Kong

We had our mini dinner at Australian Milk Company and we discovered this little noodle shop just right next door. People were queueing up for this and we were curious, so we joined the queue and discovered one of the BEST beef brisket noodles ever! The place is really small and you might need to join a table with strangers but it’s totally worth it. We actually came back here another day for a snack (lol), yes that’s how good it is.

So that ends our Hong Kong Travel Itinerary Day 3: One Day in Hong Kong Disneyland. To see more visuals of Hong Kong Disneyland, please do watch my vlog below and I hope you guys enjoy!
