The Face Suite Kuala Lumpur Service Apartment Review

If you followed my Insta-stories you would have known I’ve been to KL recently, for 2 nights. I stayed in The Face Suite Kuala Lumpur. This is my first time staying in a service apartment when travelling.

The Infinity Pool

The Face Suite Kuala Lumpur is very well-known for their Infinity Pool on Sky Deck on Level 51. The pool opens for residence/guest from 7 am to 10 pm but closes during rainy days. I went up to the pool around 9 am and it’s packed with people. If you want to get a great individual shot of yourself with the magnificent view (and of course don’t want to be disturbed), I advised going in a bit earlier. I don’t know about you, I hate it when the pool is full of people. This pool is really small to swim, so don’t expect you can actually “exercise” in this pool. There are a gym and a small children’s pool on the same level as well.

The Apartment

I stayed in a one bedroom superior (83sqm), booked from Agoda.com for A$180 per night. Yes, it looks exactly like an apartment (or condominium). I do find the kitchen area sort of useless for me as I’m only staying in for two days. If you have a big group or family members travelling together, the kitchen can be a great help.

The apartment itself is very clean and neat. Just like any regular hotel service, they have room service, cleaning and all. The staffs are very friendly and professional as well. My only complaint with this apartment is the lighting in the bathroom, it’s too “yellow” for me to do my makeup in the morning, haha. Other than that, everything’s good and comfy. If you love the feeling of home while travelling, try service apartment.

The Location

The Face Suite Kuala Lumpur is located at 1020, Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur. The nearest public transports are Bukit Nanas Monorail & Dang Wangi LRT, both being 5 minutes walk away from the apartment.

Within 10 minutes walk, there’s a Quill City Mall (Aeon Supermarket). If you don’t mind walking under the sun for 20 minutes, you will be able to reach Suria KLCC. While I don’t recommend walking not only because of the weather but also for your safety (at night).

You can find a list of nearby attractions here.

The Face Suite Kuala Lumpur: Final Verdict – 4.5/5.0.

I will give this service apartment a 4.5 out of 5.0.

At a price of A$180, I get to enjoy the feeling of 5 star home while travelling, a “hotel” that comes with a kitchen and washing machine. Clean and neat apartment. I wouldn’t say it’s cheap (because it’s a hotel after all), but I remember staying in IBIS Singapore (Economy Hotel), it costs me A$200 per night. So why not go to Malaysia and pamper yourself a little?

I’m not giving a full 5/5 because of the pool, I chose this apartment sort of because of its infinity pool. However, I was slightly disappointed by its size. And I expected there should be some bar on the roof top so I can enjoy a cocktail while chilling in the pool at night. But of course, that’s personal.
