Chapped Lips No More: DIY Sugar Lip Scrub with Essential Oil

June 9, 2017

Say goodbye to chapped, flaky lips with this DIY sugar lip scrub with essential oil!

This scrub is a great way to remove any chapped, peeling lips and re-hydrates your lips at the same time. After the scrub I will apply a lip mask or lip balm for an extra hydration boost as well.

DIY Sugar Lip Scrub with Essential Oil RECIPE

What you need:

2 Tbsp Castor Sugar (Use brown sugar if you want a more gentle scrub)

1 Tbsp of Olive Oil

2 Tsp of Honey

2 – 5 drops of Essential oils of your choice (I use Jurlique Balancing Face Oil)

Clean Empty Container for Storage

How to make:

In a mini bowl, combine all ingredient together and mix well with a clean spoon or spatula. Transfer the sugar scrub into a small container for storage. That’s all!

How to Use:

Apply it on your lips and gently scrub to exfoliate, in circular motion. Let the scrub sits on your lips for about 1 minute or so to so it can absorbs nutrients from olive oil, honey and the essential oil. Gently wipe off with a washcloth and warm water after.

Just like any scrub or exfoliation advises out there, use this DIY Sugar Lip Scrub with Essential Oil once a week (max twice a week) to remove dead skin on the lips. The olive oil and honey will hydrates your lips while you scrub while the essential oil gives it an extra boost (depends on what kind of essential oil you using).

Happy DIY and Scrubbing!
